The unique thing about these Nike Dunk High Colorful Version is the Earthquake pattern featured on them and there is a bit history surrounding it. The Earthquake pattern was introduced by a famous skateboarder from San Francisco called Keith Hufnagel, who founded his own company called ” Huf” which sells the top footwear and sportswear products in his hometown. San Francisco went through one of the most horrific earthquakes ever, which happened in 1906 so Keith decided to mark the 100th anniversary of this tragic event by coming with this cracked up print. The thing is that San Francisco natives embrace their history and are not afraid to talk about it. The first models to receive the HUF print were the Air Max 90 and Air Max 1. It turned out that sneaker heads went crazy about it so Keith Hufnagel decided to repeat the exercise by dropping the Nike Dunks High also in Earthquake mode. Obviously the unique thing about these Dunks is their crackled midsole while the colorway is strictly OG, which is why some fans refer to them as the ” Purple Cracked” Dunks. The Nike Dunk High Earthquake – Cracked Midsole / Purple shoe features a combination of purple nubuck, grey nubuck, nylon applied to the mid panel and of course the Earthquake print on the midsole. Bottom line is that if you are fan of the Dunks then you wouldn’t want to miss out on these.
